Nathan is a lifelong resident of Northwest Ohio. He grew up in Sylvania, Ohio and graduated from St. John’s Jesuit High School in 1999. After earning his bachelor’s degree in Education at Miami University, he returned to Toledo and received his law degree from the University of Toledo College of Law. Prior to attending law school, Nathan taught in a middle school special education classroom.
Immediately out of law school, Nathan practiced at Advocates for Basic Legal Equality, Inc., where he represented clients facing eviction or foreclosure. Subsequently, he moved into private practice, practicing primarily in the areas of estate planning, probate procedures, real estate closings, lending transactions and small business management. Nathan has continued to practice in these concentrations since joining Spengler Nathanson P.L.L.
Nathan is a member of the Toledo Bar Association and Ohio State Bar Association, and is a past Chair of the Probate Court & Elder Law Committee for the Toledo Bar Association. Nathan currently serves on the Board of Directors for Lutheran Ministries of Mercy and he is also the Commissioner of a local youth basketball program. He is a resident of Perrysburg, Ohio, where he and his wife are raising four young boys.
